About Us

ADOPT also helps the poor communities who struggle to look after their pets responsibly

We are the advocate and voice for those who cannot speak, we are the face of hope as we work with community and other organizations to constantly strive to create new ideas and goals to increase lifesaving, creating a new culture of compassion, to bring about change, vision, and a safe, pet loving community.

HPHS believes that a happy pet is a healthy pet, that can bring joy and love for years to come.

High Plains Humane Society works in Curry County and the surrounding areas to reduce animal cruelty, exploitation and neglect.
We advocate for sensible public policies that bring forth positive changes in our community, and we educate the general public on the importance of being responsible pet owners. We are constantly striving to make this world a better place for our furry friends, and we network with other organizations who share our beliefs.
We established a continual, low-income spay and neuter program in the community for pet owners who could not otherwise afford this service. Sterilization is the key to solving the region’s over-population and excessively high euthanasia numbers.
